Lisa Laliberte Earns Top Spot in Primary Election-- August 14, 2012 -- *
Lisa Laliberte, Jason Etten, Karen Schaffer and Bill Hoffman will be the candidates for City Council this fall. Roseville voters in the August 14 primary selected the top candidates to go on to the November 6 general election. Two City Council seats are up for election. Preliminary results show the top four vote getters are: • Lisa Laliberte 1377 votes • Jason Etten 1333 votes • Karen Schaffer 1282 votes • Bill Hoffman 860 votes In addition, Liane Gale, Gerry McDonald and Peter Strohmeier ran for office. City Council Candidate Launches Community Listening Tour-- August 21, 2012 -- *
In the days following the primary election, City Council candidate Lisa Laliberte announced plans to host four (4) community listening sessions before the November election. The events will be held in the Community Room at the Roseville Library located at 2180 North Hamline Avenue, on the second and third Thursdays of September and October. The first half of each session will be reserved for residents who want to talk one-on-one with Laliberte about their specific ideas or concerns. The balance of the session could be opened up to a group discussion depending on the interests of the attendees and demand for the candidate’s undivided time.
